Happy Halfway, Baby!

So for those of you who are just finding out our exciting news, you may be wondering what took so long to blog about it, right? Well, after being classified a "high risk pregnancy" with a 30-50% chance of fetal demise, I didn't want to jinx anything. After much prayer and the faith of so many, we were just declared a " healthy pregnancy", and we couldn't be more pleased or grateful! Our God truly is a God of miracles!!!!

Here is what Baby looks like from the inside.....
And from the outside.......

After 4 and 1/2 months of trying to be faithful and leave everything in the Lord's hands, it feels soooo wonderful to have that burden lifted! Oh, and another reason for the smile is my fabulous chemo medicine for nausau!!! Hallelujah!!!!

With 3 girls and 3 boys, this is the "tie-breaker" baby! And the new majority is.......(drum roll, please......)

THE GIRLS!!!!!

Expect baby girl Washburn to be arriving in time for the holidays!!!! Hooray!!!

Not our Normal Field Trip!!!!

Yep, we've got Harry Potter mania!!!!!

I told Kamberlynne months ago I would take her and a couple friends to the midnight premier...then one day the boys found out it was rated PG...not PG13, so I took the big guys along, too! I was just as excited as they were...and after the ups and downs...it was worth it!!!!

Waiting in line to be seated.....12 theatres sold out!!!!

Waiting for the show to start...this is around 11:40, picture courtesy of Jonah!

And another...bright eyed and bushy tailed!! (Side note...for the first time Kamberlynne sat across the isle with her friends instead of with us....times are a changin', sniff sniff!)
Still waiting for the show to start...this is around 12:50...
...technical difficulties brought a lot of chaos...it only ended up showing on 8 screens instead of 12...we were lucky enough to actually see it...once it started at 1:20!!!! And every one was awake then!!

Worth the wait! We all loved it! Of course, you can't compare it to the book, but on its own...really good... or maybe we were all too out of our heads tired to know the difference!!!! This picture is around 4 am!!!

How fun to be a momma of both big kids and little ones! I still get to play at the park with the little ones, and be out till all hours of the night with the big ones...only for Harry Potter, though!!! On our way home Jonah said...."its 8 hours past my bedtime"...tell me about it, buddy! Me, too!!!

Play Ball!

For those of you who we brag about our softball girl to, but can't see for yourself...this post is dedicated to you!

A few shots from the Maryland State ASA Tournament this Saturday. We went 2 for 2 and went into the final day seeded first....since we keep Sunday as the Lord's day and don't play ball, we don't know how it went today, but we are grateful to have a team who supports our Sabbath decision, and gives Kamberlynne plently of playing time anyways! A real blessing!

Having fun at the family crab feast--swimming was the best! See how much fun Pop is having?

Being cute while waiting for the parade!

Seeing sister in the Parade!

And last but not least, Catherine and Brian kissing during the fireworks!!!
Sorry, no picture!!!!

We hope you all had a lovely day celebrating our freedom!

God Bless America!!

Double Digits!

Yep, Jonah hit the big ONE-ZERO! Now half of my lambies have entered the double digit club! And we got to celebrate with friends at theatre camp with a big cake at lunch! Woo-hoo! So what does a ten year old want for his birthday.....

A big water fight with the cousins at Grandma's house! (And those fabulous uncles who make good fun GREAT!)

Does it get any better than this?!?!?

Ok, blowing out candles twice is a pretty good thing, too!!!! Here's to a wonderful year of plenty more fabulousl days!

(Just now when Jonah viewed his birthday blog he said, "Wow...I'm really old!")

Super Dad!

Yep, that's what brought tears to Brian's eyes on Father's Day! I'm not kidding! Once we got the big "Mother Ship" (our nickname for the big white 12 seater van Brian's been dreaming about for years) back in March, Brian mentioned how cool he thought it would be to get some of those family figures that go on the windows. I stored it away on my mental gift list and the kids and I had a great time designing our figures for a fun surprise. Brian liked it so much, he really did get misty eyed...but the tears really did overflow because of this.....

The yearly updated kid shirt that he wears with some serious JOY! What a guy!!! But the best gift of all is what he gets everyday....

LOTS OF LOVE FROM THESE ADORABLE BLESSINGS!
Just look at Dad's smile!!!! That's a happy guy!

Where'd My Baby Go?!?!?!?

Kamberlynne turned thirteen...emphasis on TEEN. She is thrilled...I'm ok with it, 3 weeks later! I put all her presents in baby bags, and put a lovely circle of 12 candles on her Pina Colada Pie....I told her I just couldn't bear to put on 13. She convinced me and we lit an extra special striped one in the middle...and I lived! But it still makes me tear up a little! With as much joy as the first 13 years brought, can it really get any better?!?!?
