We sure hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! We usually spend the holiday with my sister, Amber, and her family, who live just about an hour away! She and her husband, Peter, have 5 adorable boys, and they all line up pretty much with our 6 cuties! Well, we decided to be adventurous this year and join them in Historic Virginia for a few days seeing the sights and enjoying time together! We packed up on Tuesday and stayed till Friday, and even though Briella screamed the whole first night, we made some great memories! I took so many pictures, there's no way I could blog them all, so I sort of cheated and resorted to a lot of "slide shows"! Enjoy!
Here Brian and I are with 10 of the 11 cousins...Baby Pierce was being packed into the stroller still! We spent all day Wednesday at the James Fort Historic Park, the very first English Settlement...John Smith, Pocahontas, the whole real deal! The cousins spent hours completing their "Junior Ranger" activities, earned their very cool patches, and had a marvelous time of it! We had an historically appropriate picnic lunch of dried beef, nuts, cheese and crackers and walked in the very footsteps of those Americans who helped "settle" the New World and create our Free Country. It was pretty incredible. We highly recommend the trip! As we went through the rest of the week visiting Williamsburg and Yorktowne, we sure had some genuine feelings of thanksgiving for this land, and those who came before us to prepare it for liberty and lay the foundation upon which the gospel could be restored. We are so blessed.

Oh how fantastically fun! I am soooo jealous. This makes me miss all my family so much! Why oh why are we all so far apart? One day we'll get together again. Love you all. Enjoyed all the pictures and slideshows. Hug each other from Aunie Rae.
Sounds like you guys had a great time. Had I known you were going to do all that, Ben and I would have hid in the suitcases and come along.
Loved reading all of your Thanksgiving vacation posts! Looks like you had a ton of fun! I LOVE that you and all your beautiful kids cuddle in bed and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!! SO special!
